SAN DIEGO - "A new corrective eye surgery called Crystalens is different from other corrective eye surgeries like LASIK that change the shape of the cornea."

Retired highway patrolman David Hollenbeck wore bifocals before having Crystalens surgery to correct cataracts. The surgery took about 20 minutes and he felt no pain.

"I don't get a headache or eye strain anymore," Hollenback said. "My neck also feels a lot better now that I don't have to peer into the computer to see."

Dr. Davies undergoes Conductive Keratoplasty, gains patient’s perspective!

CARLSBAD, Calif. - “It’s a wonderful feeling, very liberating.” Dr. Davies underwent conductive keratoplasty about a year ago to treat his ‘aging eyes.’

“I’d had fighter pilot eyes all my life, so when I started losing my ability to see things up close it was very frustrating.” Prior to the procedure, Dr. Davies needed glasses to put drops in patients' eyes or to look at a chart. This became very tedious and exhaustive. He now enjoys working with the patients and performing corrective procedures without searching for his glasses.
